Dr Jackie Stone

dr-gill-smallDr Jackie Stone is 51 and has a medical degree and Medical Biochemistry degree from the University of Cape Town and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and an inaugural fellow of the Australian College of Aerospace Medicine. She worked extensively in the department of Inspection and Immunity at St Bartholomews Hospital in the UK during the HIV epidemic and with Emirates Airlines Dubai in the clinical care and the medical transfer of sick patients, obtaining a diploma in Aviation medicine. Jackie has also worked as a rural GP in South Australia and Queensland, and worked for the Royal Australian Flying Doctors, giving her a valuable insight into the challenges and solutions involved in delivery of medical care to rural and remote communities.  Dr Stone who recently returned to Zimbabwe will bring innovative solutions to healthcare in rural and remote communities.
